Overdue update

Mon Oct 12, 2009, 5:59 PM
Man I probably should update this thing more often than I do now. Whoops? ^^; *is shot*
A lot has happened since May, so I'll update things in note form. (For real this time)

June:
-Went back home to Vancouver. Had a blast!
-Went to the Anime Evolution (AE). Felt like I was waking up for morning classes again. (Morning class + me= Urrrrrrrrgh.)
-Printer died before I could print stuff for AE. Had to get new printer.
-Dad's happy with new printer, because it can also photocopy. (Dad + photocopier= Happy Dad.)

July:
-Returned to Edmonton for summer course.
-Did summer course and started making kusudamas for upcoming Heritage Festival.
-Rest of the month is mostly wiped clean from my memory. I'm sure there were fun moments, but I seriously can't remember at the moment.

August:
-Voluntered at Heritage Festival for 3 days at the Japanese Pavilion. Almost got a farmer's tan dammit!
-Experienced weird weather during festival.
-Bought a kendama. Fun to play with.
-Parents (and Jet the dog) came over from Vancouver at the end of August/beginning of September.
-Bought lots of plants. Now we have life at our place. Most of them have a name.
-Bugged the dog a lot. (Mainly because I found his 'sweet spot' ).
-Dad and Mom played with the kendama I bought at the Heritage Festival. Dad moreso. Found out that he had one when he was a kid. Had lots of fun with the kendama. XD
-Helped Dad with making a 'banquet sushi supper'. Did lots of plating and preparation, but had lots of fun with my Dad. :D
-Finally got a bike. Sis and I have been biking a lot, to the point that our arses hurt.

September
-School started much earlier than I thought. Missed first day of classes. Though classes started AFTER labour day and not one week before it dammit!
-Chaos for a while.
-Still making kusudamas.
-Crappy stuff that I prefer not to remember.

October
-Got a job! Will never get tired of using the pricing gun or working at the till. Hehehehe.
-Health has been deteriorating for a bit.
-Found out that the rash that has been on the back of my leg for a year may be eczema or tinea (A type of fungus that causes ringworms. Not caused by actual worms). Not overly dramatic about it, but I'm getting a little concerned now that I'm starting to get a large rash on my elbows. *siiiiiiiiiiigh*
-A little annoyed that the snow's already falling. Melt dammit, MELT!
-Accidentally stepped on one of my paint tubes (which happens to be a crimson red), and it exploded. Cleaned most of the mess up so that neighbours don't call cops about a possible homicide happening in my room. Hehehe. ^^;

I think that about covers most of the stuff. Sorry about the lack of updates and replies, but school does come first. I have some crappy sketches laying around that I want to clean up, but that's gonna have to wait until I have enough free time. Hope you guys had a wonderful thanksgiving!

Devious Journal Entry

Fri May 29, 2009, 5:51 PM
Bwaha. I'm alive. Well...that is if the cottonwood outside doesn't kill me eventually. -__-''

The past month has been alright. Came home to my family for the summer, been cooking a bit with my Dad (who has been teaching me some new stuff), and have been starting to learn how to drive.

I don't really looooooooove driving. It's ok, but there's just WAY too many impatient people on the road who really don't understand that the red 'L' on the back of a car means "LEARNER". I'm learning on a standard car, so I basically have stalled...a lot. It's hilarious, but it is equally as frustrating to me as it is to them because of their pointless honking. I KNOW that when the light is green it means GO...I just happen to stall at that precise moment. Sticking up my middle finger at them would be satisfying, but pulling a Mr. Bean on them and finally moving when the light turns yellow (so that it turns red on them) is just as satisfying to me. :D

Take that jerks! :evillaugh:

Was a little sick this past week, starting on monday. My temperature was on a roller coaster ride: one moment it's 99.0 (fahrenheit), and then boom! 103.9. The weird thing was that I was rather indifferent to the sudden temperature changes. At first it affected me when I got to 101.8, but after seeing high numbers like that everytime I took my temperature (which was often, cause I was bored) the 100s didn't phase me much.

So now I'm working on some A.E (Anime Evolution) stuff. I was thinking of revisiting the "Organization XIII in the morning series", but I'm not too sure if I should. I'd just update the look (cause 2 years is enough time for some art to develop), but keep the media to traditional art. Maybe go over them with copic markers or prismacolour pencilcrayons. Of course I'd probably have to add Xion to the bunch as well (and maybe an Namine just for kicks). Anyone have thoughts about it?

I was also thinking of doing some Transformers stuff. It's been a while since I've drawn them (and the comic...mainly cause it was stuck here and I was stuck in Edmonton for the past 8 months). Meh. Well I'll have to figure SOMETHING out cause I only have 2 weeks left to finish everything!! GAAAAAAAH! O____o

Yey for Androgyny?

Tue Apr 21, 2009, 6:15 PM
Soooo just got a haircut, cause I was tired of the shoulder length hair. Decided to do something VERY different. Let's just say that NOW I can seriously be mistakened as a guy from afar.

...which is probably why people wouldn't stop staring at me when I went through the mall to pick up my sister from work. However, NOW she can tell the family resemblence between her, me and our brothers. Or at least between me and my brothers. It's actually kinda scary, cause as I was getting my hair cut I swore to god I thought I was my second oldest brother. Especially if I try to imitate his 'boogy-eyes-with-giant-grin-plastered-on-face' expression. Scary, but cool nonetheless. :plotting:

Hehehe. I be androgynous for now!! :evillaugh:

Anyway, still have one exam to do tomorrow, and I seriously don't want to study anymore (But I know I need to cause I didn't do so well on that midterm. TT_TT ).I also have my final, final portfolio to finish before I fly home on Friday. Grrr! I still be getting no sleep!! Stupid exam!! ><

Stuff & Sukiyaki.

Sun Mar 22, 2009, 12:58 PM
Hmmm. Seeing as I haven't updated my journal in almost 2 months, why not update it now?
So I've been busy with classes etc. typical school rant blah blah blah- stuff that can be left out- blah blah blah. Moving on.

It's still been snowing here. Heck I thought it was finally gonna stop and freaking melt away, but Edmonton weather seems to like fooling me every time! On the amusing side, we now have a lake in the parking lot (due to some melting), so it's like Vancouver and Edmonton weather combined as one! (In a way). So it's snowing as I write, as if the weather was trying to hide the evidence that the snow was melting, but ha! try hiding that huge puddle/lake! :evillaugh:

Yesterday I was helping out the Edmonton Kendo and Naginata Club with Sukiyaki night. Basically we were cooking sukiyaki in a pot for other people! My sis asked if I wanted to help with cooking, and I was like 'sure, why not'. Clearly, I forgot to read the fine print. Anyways, so my sis and I arrived early to help with food prep -even though that really wasn't my job- and it was quite fun to cut endless amounts of cabbages and shitake mushrooms (My fingers still smell like them). It was then that I noticed the table layouts. There was a small 'stovey-thingy-don't-know-what-they're-called' on each table (there were 11), and I was like 'Why are there small 'stovey-thingies' on each table? Aren't we cooking in the back?', to which someone replied 'Nope. You're cooking AT the table. Oh! And remember that you have to keep the conversation at the tables going!". Gosh I hate it when that small print gets you. :raincloud:

Anyways, since the chefs were claiming tables and all, the sensei decided that that was not allowed and basically gave the table and chefs a random number. At first I was petrified, but then all went well(...as well as can be. I burnt myself once, and learnt not to do it again). I got into my 'cooking mode' and everyone at my table was happy. After everyone was full, we all played pictionary, and our groups were our table. My table got second place, and I got some wooden tongs for guessing it right twice! (There was a tie for second place) :D Thank goodness for 'Guess the Sketch' on Facebook. Speaking of which, there will probably be a few pictures uploaded with me and my 'chef hat' in the near future (Just couldn't avoided those blasted cameras).

Fun times! I think I might do it again next year....after strangling my sister first. Oh and I'll definitely bring better foot wear cause my calves and feet were in immense pain afterwards. I kept waking up last night cause they kept cramping up! >__O

Will be donating plasma soon (possibly 30th), and we'll see who wins this race!

I've just been vamped...

Fri Jan 30, 2009, 7:10 PM
...by a needle.

I've lost half a litre of blood, but at least it's for a greater cause. :D
First time ever, and regardless of the facts that I hate it how those needles are so BIG, I'm definitely gonna go back to donate some more 56-ish days later.

Oh. And also to race with my sister.

IT'S ON!!! :evillaugh:
